Today on April 1st shocking news were posted earlier this morning on Korean news site ‘newsen’. This news have confirmed TOP’s leave from Big Bang officially.
Newsen had an interview with Yang Hyunk Suk and former Big Bang member TOP to discuss the topic and it was said that TOP wants to put a pause to his music career and focus on acting. TOP stated “After starring in IRIS i’ve gotten a lot of calls from different directors who want me in their movies, and I’d like to keep working with them but my busy schedule with Big Bang wouldn’t allow me to do so.”
He continued “I’m sorry to all the vips and to the Big Bang members but I must assure you that they are fine with it, we are like a real family and they said to me ‘it’s okay hyung, we understand’. I’ve got their support and I hope I can count on yours too.”
YG also talked about the issue and the end of his contract which will be today on April 1st. He stated “Of course it’s an incovinience to see him leave but we can’t keep him by force, he is a great actor after all and he wants to pursue his dream and me and Big Bang can’t take that away from him.”
TOP will be dropping all current activities with Big Bang from this day on and talks about adding a new member haven’t been said yet. However YG did release information about TOP’s contract and photos of TOP leaving the apartment have been leaked out. Go under the cut for more.
YG stated “Big Bang members are going to support him 100% because they are a family and they are currently pursuing their dream which is music,, and they completely understand that TOP’s dream is acting and won’t stand against it. really, i was about to have a heart attack… i forgot it’s april 1st today so i thought its really true. i knoo top loves music than acting but i was kinda scared that maybe someday that will change but yea. i trust BB that they’ll never leave each others side. i hopee.

at first i knew it wasnt true. i didnt believe it. APRIL 1st but then as i read on, i started to get really sad and mad. i didnt want him to leave! BIG BANG wouldnt be the same without him! i tried to research but found nothing! wouldnt it be around the internet by now? and i also follow a different fan page and they didnt say anything.. i only found out until someone from the chatbox told me.

I stumbled on this post today while looking for a T.O.P related article. Needless to say, today is NOT April 1st/Fool’s Day so I completely forgot and…haha…my heart skipped a beat. It would have been more cruel if you hadn’t said April Fool’s XD & I told my brother to come over to read this & he fell for it as well haha. I was thinking oh, it’s from the beginning of this year, I wonder why T.O.P & GD are releasing a new album in a couple of weeks & releasing their two title tracks in three days….maybe he got back with them after all? *hopeful* But now, I’m like thank god it wasn’t true. I’m glad BIG BANG is still together–if you see how many groups disbanded from 1999-2003..like Lee Hyori & the founder of YG Entertainment..I’m really grateful for their hard work & dedication.
