With the hype of the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup, a survey has been tallied to find out which World Cup song most people like.
Daksclub.com has recently surveyed 721 single men and women to which World Cup song they love the most. The survey showed that majority of the respondents (52%) voted forSNSD. “SNSD’s song is more lively and exciting and is able to increase the fun in the event. Through SNSD’s song, you already feel that victory,” claims a source.
Following SNSD are the girls of T-ara who garnered 21.2% votes, Wonder Girls (10.3%) came in 3rd and lastly, After School with 7.7% votes.
Among the male idols, 2PM’s World Cup song took the number 1 spot and according to the respondents, 2PM had worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to cheer for the game. Second place goes to Big Bang with 24.3% votes, 3rd to SS501 with 14.6% and a further 13.5% goes to 2AM.

I totally agree with you! I need a song that will make a whole crowd get up and just feel like fist pumping and shouting and BB’s song does that. 2AM’s song is nice too. I might actually play that on my iPod. The others are just…plain old pop songs.

i completely agree when i read “2PM had worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to cheer for the game” i was expecting it to be good, but it wasn’t catchy at all! i of coarse love big bangs the most, but it is more because its such an intense song that makes you want to shout for korea!hahaha i like 2ams song too its cute but very auto tuned! and sorry the others either weren’t interesting or too much like any other song they have come out with
2PM? Seriously? I bet idols being active in Korea had an affect on the decision of this poll. But this is a Big Bang fansite, so opinions will most likely be biased, I’m still going for Big Bang. It has the whole cheering mood on it, and I can’t help but dance along with the song hehe!

I’m used to listening to shouts of red lol lost the number of times. So i’m gonna vote for BB. To be honest, i’m not so keen on the others. Plus shouts of red has a similar loud chant we love to do here in Europe during football matches.

Beside i’m a hard core fans of BIG BANG my vote goes to ‘shout of the red’ for sho!! i like other song like 2am its such a sweet song and suju is good too but 2pm?seriously i dont get the beat and hype of world cup there. SOTR is best of the best its so world cup,kekeke.

Big Bang hasn’t done much in S. Korea with music in a little while for the most part so you would assume that the people of Korea would be dying for BB! Plus there’s was the ultimate “Victory” and sports/ soccer anthem! One of their members is SEUNGRI for crying out loud! XD And then they even had Kim Yuna on their side, Korea’s sports heroine…what gives?! With their song no one would stand in their way! Damn…I think the demographic in that poll have it wrong. Alright Super Junior’s is a very close second to BB imo. Though I’m not much of a SuJu fan…they’re very low on my list but for some reason they make catchy music…grrr! In this case its catchy, rocking, and a better vibe than the other songs (BESIDES BB!!!). Not like their usual, regular music.

Actually, the survey was “WHO AMONG THE IDOL GROUPS THEY’D LOVE TO CHEER WITH this 2010 World Cup?”.
For the female category, SNSD came in first. For the male category 2pm ranked first. Big Bang came in second probably because they weren’t much active in S. Korea due to their busy activities in Japan.

and 2AM’s song was just painful to hear. The extreme use of the autotune killed my ears. I usually dont mind autotune, i think it makes songs sound really cool,, but here it was used basically throughout the whole song. it was wayyy too excessive. what is so ironic is that 2AM is a BALLAD group!! they have beautiful voices! they dont need autotune at all! int heir song I Did Wrong, i loved the small autotune part, it made the song stand out but here it was too much. the song is catchy and i would like it more without all the autotune. the mv was cute & so were the lyrics but this is the first time i have hated autotune so much.
BB all the way….as for the girls, i think afterschool’s song and mv was nicer, it showed afterschool’s natural side sining supporting for the world cup rather all dress up, acting cute….
its probably becaus ei’m not korean and i don’t understand whta theyre singing so i’m just basing this from the world cup feel upon listening. and yes, Bigbang fan here, but bias aside, considering all, Bigbang goes straight to number 1, all the way up there, for both the boys and girls.coz even if you don’t know it’s for world cup, you will have the feeling that it’s for some sports event. it’s catchy, and it’s sporty just like hw its supposed to be. the others were like.. well, if i hadn’t known they’re meant for world cup, i wouldn’t even look at it that way… probably except for T-ara’s “Ole-Ole”. so yeah, BIGBANG definitely.
i dont think knowing what the lyrics mean really makes a difference either way, but i totally agree, the song gives off that sporty/championship/world cup mood that the others dont. i heard 2pm’s song and i cant even remember how it went at all! its so forgetful while big bang’s song was instantly stuck in my head with just one play. also the dance, no one pointed this out but the dance is catchy & easy to do. Big Bang would definitely be my #1 as well. (:

2AM’s No.1 was unexpectedly good :D i thought it would be another cheering song but it turns out to be slower. Jo Kwon never fails to crack me up :D
Honestly, most of these songs do not fit the atmosphere for the World Cup.
Some of these songs are too soft, especially Kara.
Others are a bit more melancholic, like 2AM with “There is no Number 2.” Hardly encouraging.
I don’t know, but with Korea’s famous phrase, “FIGHTING!”, I expected something more powerful and loud.
I think Big Bang’s perspective is the best here, as well as in terms of melody.
i’m not being bias…but after listening to all of them i think BigBang’s top all of em..i don’t really understand the lyrics but only BigBang’s lyrics are stuck in my head after listening it for the very 1st time..(well now i listen to it everyday (^_^))
BB’s are more high spirited and fits the World Cup atmosphere..the others r juz…um……..except for t-ara’s Ole Ole part…
