It was reported today that the motorcyclist involved in Daesung’s car accident from two weeks ago was drunk driving at the moment and it’s highly possible that his crash had occurred as a result of negligent driving. Also it was revealed that there was no hit-and-run accident involved prior to Daesung’s contact with the victim.
According to local media E-Daily, police officials reviewing the accident said, “We’ve already completed on-site investigations and CCTV reviews. The results have confirmed us there was no hit-and-run accident prior to Daesung’s collision.”
The official added, “We’re still waiting for final autopsy results but the National Forensic Service said alcohol was discovered from the motorcyclist’s blood test results. Based on witness testimonies and on-site investigations, it’s highly likely that the motorcyclist hurt himself due to negligent driving.”
The police are currently looking into the motorcyclist’s exact time of death. Experts say further investigation will reveal the exact timeline and whether the motorcyclist died as a result of his first crash or if it was caused by Daesung’s accident that followed shortly after. However, the autopsy results that were supposed to come out today will be delayed, possibly until next week, the police said.
Daesung was involved in a car accident on May 31st around 1:30AM. He hit a motorcyclist that was lying on the street from an earlier accident and later crashed into a taxi in front of him. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly after the accident. Daesung apologized to the victim’s family and agreed to cover all funeral costs, but it’s still unclear what the exact cause of death is.
I’m not sure if this is beneficial for Daesung or not…the autopsy results will tell I’ll guess. However, now we know the motorcyclist got into an accident because he was driving drunk and there was never a hit and run then. All of this was being blamed on the supposedly hit&run guy but now all fingers point to the alcohol.. never drink and drive );

What’ll happen if Dae was the one who caused his death?
Police said before that even if it was Daesung crash that caused his death that even then all he would probably have to do was pay a fine because it was a ‘neglectful accident’, that was assuming that there had been a hit and run previously though. Now that they know that there wasn’t a hit and run, idk if they’ll use the same charge against him… i think it should still be considered a ‘neglectful accident’ because the crash wouldn’t have happened had the motorcyclist not had been drunk and driving but i have no idea what the police are going to do..

As long as Dae wasn’t the reason why the motorcuclist was lying in the lane in the first place, he can’t be held accountable for it,. Dae hitting him would then just be an accident and he can’t be charged with jail for that. This is part of what I would give as an answer to my law teacher if he asked this kind of question at least :P

I get where you’re coming from. If it’s not technically Dae’s fault for his death (seeing as the motorcyclist drove drunk & possibly caused his own death) then why should he still pay for it? Out of respect for a loss? Still, even if it wasn’t his fault, I don’t think he has to go that far for paying all the costs because he’s a celeb. But if he did, then I would understand.
He is going so far as to paying for all funeral costs because that is his personality. He believes the entire accident is his fault and his mind feels that the only thing he can do to repay the family for “what he has done [or at least his mind THINKS he has done]” is to pay for the funeral costs. Daesung has a very loving personality where he believes anything he was involved in was his fault. It’s just a conscience idea with him, so he feels he needs to do this to lift the problems that were on his shoulders since the accident.

completely change! Daesungie will be alright.. as long as he has us to back him up.

plz be strong dae. praying that dae wasnt the one who caused his death would be really selfish of me bcoz a person died and it doesnt matter that im a fan and i dont know the victim but i still cant help but feel heart broken over this whole situation. for any person to be in that kind of situation is just really sad. i hope that he can move on and that the family wont hold any hard feelings towards him.

i feel relieved after learning about this. Nobody was supposedly blamed for the motorcyclist’s neglectful driving. n im hoping really hard that dae will be released from all this mess and back to where he should. he was there at the wrong time and at the wrong place after all. daesung fightingg!!

Maaan that changes everything. If the motorcyclist was drunk driving then there’s a higher chance that Dae didn’t cause his death. I guess that’s a good thing but…:(
the last thing i want to say of this matter is ”Eat That Haters!” . i wish i could do it next week.
I don’t think these results are good for Daesung at all, yes the motorcyclist was drunk, but it still isn’t saying what sort of accident he was able to get into without another car involved. He may have missed the curve and hit the median, but I’ve been in numerous accidents far worse then that and I honestly don’t think that would have been a bad enough accident to kill him. The only thing we can hope for is that the original charges that were mention will stay the same and Daesung won’t have to go to jail or anything like that. I think the thing that benefits Daesung the most is the car that was between him and the taxi swearving at the last minute. It obstructed DaeDae’s line of vision and didn’t give him enough time to react, since he wasn’t able to react properly because of that car, it wasn’t entirely his fault.

motorcyclist was drunk at the time it might change things and thats why they need the extra time to make sure justice is made and no one is victimized
I believe even when this whole thing blows over, Daesung won’t be able to fully forget this accident. He might be able to continue life as it was before hand but he will still have that little piece in the back of his head that reminds him of the accident. I got in a car accident (actually my dad did…) about 10 years ago and I still remember what happened. I don’t think anybody can get this out of their minds completely. Once in a while, he will go back to the day of the accident, but continue life with his original loving personality.

hope the motorcyclist family made an apologize to daesung who claim that he did nothing to the motorcyclist family or anything, that is so unfair for daesung and why dun he blame the cyclist drunk and drive? why daesung nid to pay all the funeral? dont they know as an artist need face more pressure from either media or net? someone next time maybe just will say that daesung drive and kill someone, and dun care about is that really daesung causing the cyclist death.
