The comparison of royalty income (music copyright fee) between producer Brave Brothers and Big Bang’s G-Dragon has garnered attention.
Brave Brothers (real name Kang Dong Chul) appeared on the episode of “Beatles Code” that aired on Mnet on June 23rd and said that after producing hits like Lexy’s “Above the Sky”, Son Dambi’s “Crazy” and Brown Eyed Girl’s “How”, he earned 10 billion in royalties.
On the other hand, Big Bang’s Seungri also attracted attention for uncovering G-Dragon’s royalties last month, on the same program.
Seungri explained, “G-Dragon receives a lot of income from royalties, more than composer Cho Young Soo. G-Dragon is currently considered #1 in the Copyright Association. G-Dragon has registered about 120 songs under his name. Songs for his solo album, for Big Bang, Taeyang, 2NE1, and Uhm Jung Hwa.” with that it was presumed his revenue would be higher than Brave Brothers.
Seungri didn’t give a money amount though so it’s hard to compare and Brave Brothers is a producer on a bigger scale, he produces for tons of idol groups and he even owns an idol girl group. Regardless i think both are very rich producers and I also personally prefer GD’s music :3

Because we, VIPs, are happy with any success for g-dragon, but to other people it just gives them more excuse and ammunition to criticize him for being whatever they want to accuse him of… such as being greedy, braggart, pomous, etc. I lived in Asia, I know how jealousy works. It’s never good to talk about money. Better for G to be under the radar in terms of his personal wealth. I just want him safe from more backlash.
I live in asia too,I know how inappropriate to talk about money, but its good to talk about achievement. That guy above sounding the money he got while Ri only said based on his research at the time.. he knows GD is #1.
We experience hows the hater’s twisted mind that always finding fault in everything GD do, then let support him as we can towards those haters when its happen..
But, by telling Ri to shut up, its sound that this article happen cuz his ‘fault’ while back then we had he euphoria cuz we know something about our leader achievement.

I prefer GD’s/BIGBANG’s music much more than that brave brothers stuff, i dont even get why he had to say an actual number of how much he earns (douche….kidding) … anyways i like how seungri kind of left us curious troll XD …..our leader is always soooo humble he would never reveal how much he makes, he doesnt even boast about how musically amazing he is…make us love him even more <3
i got confused with the title…it says that he made more money than GD…however in the article he just plainly said that he made 10 billion won out from the music he composed…it wasnt publicize how much money GD earned from the royalties so how can the writer come up with such title…:D as a VIP ill take a grip on Seungri’s words that GD is number #1

GD is probably considered number 1 in the copyright association and makes more money since almost all the songs he produced became hits. Almost all of bigbang’s songs were composed by him and almost all of them became hits. Either way, he’s still considered as the richest idol.

Actually I don’t take words from this guy.
He only mentions 3 of his hit songs, which I never heard about & they gather more than 10 billion won? Yeah right.
While GD has more than 120 songs under his name. Lol people love to exaggerate.
I really like Brave Brothers. He produced U-Kiss’ Man Man Ha Ni and Bingeul Bingeul, and they’re just plain out addicting. And of course G-Dragon comes out with great songs too.
I don’t understand why some people are getting mad/annoyed/or whatever about this news though :/ like, just because YOU didn’t know about a song doesn’t necessarily mean it wasn’t popular. If you don’t care about a certain artist, despite a song’s popularity, I doubt you would pay much attention to it, or at least I don’t.
Also, you don’t know what percentage of the profits Brave Brothers gets, so what right do you have to go against his word?
