Q:its been a year since your last album, what are your thoughts on it? and youre going to do a tour.

GD:there arent enough words to describe it. there were many things last year and its an album that we finally made so we were nervous in making this. each member put every single moment of their time in completing the album.
we want to make every performance in the tour a really cool one for the fans who have waited for us.

D-LITE:all the members became one as we made this.the staff of YG family and other artists told us that, ” this is the best album youve ever released”. we also have the confidence to say that too. we want to perform with thankfullness towards the fans.

SOL:this was an album that has a very big meaning and that has became a turning point for me, and for BIGBANG. the colour of BIGBANg is really pronounced in it. i think the albums that we will make from now on will have a much stronger “BIGBANG colour”.

VI: we have upgraded in everything and i think that that i have grown musically and also as a human being. i am confident ( with this album)

TOP: this is an album that we made with our full power, and one that has become BIGBANG’s new meaning.many of the songs are in japanese. We thought a lot about the lyrics in Japanese and put alot of effort in making it so i hope you will listen to it well.

Q: Whats the theme/concept of this album?

Dae:the members that were frozen unfreeze slowly…i think that we were able to relay all our passion and the thirst for performance by this album.

Q:GDRAGON, you were involved in the song producing and lyrics writing for every song.were there any things that were hard for you as the producer?

GD:Making an album isnt something you can do just like that if you try hard. you feel the feeling according to the situation and get inspiration from a lot of things. Then you have fun out of the situation youre in now and do your stuff. this time we made all our energy into one and worked with “give-and-take” so we werent tired at all and had a fun time.

Q: tell us abpout the songs , one by one.

[Intro]
Bae: it symbolizes the whole album’s concept.its about “The moment you fall”, but instead of just falling ,its about ” having fun while your falling and feeling the freedom”.”まだ生きてる(Im still alive)” expresses “ALIVE”.

[FANTASTIC BABY]
VI:its the most upbeat fun song in the album.i think it will be able to show that BIGBANG really is alive. its very classy ,the costumes are glittery and we filmed the PV(MV) to have a “fantastic” and special feeling. as for the performance SOL’s solo dance is really Fantastic!

SOL:M-flo’s Verbal write the Japanese version of the lyrics for us. it matches the Korean lyrics and the recording went smoothly. in the PV the members visuals were important and each member had a set of their own. i think you can feel each of our stories.

TOP:its the most Fantastic and crazy song for BIGBANG.the PV is totally different from the one in the Japanese DVD and the one on youtube.its fun watching both and comparing them.

Q:Are you guys that fall in love at first glance?

Dae: i do fall in love at first glance but im the type that cant be lovers afterwards.
Vi: thats a bit lonely.
Dae: yeah so im always lonely (laughs)

Q:among the members,who can confess their feelings from themselves?

VI:If it was a Korean man, they would say “I like you!” straightforwardly!They would think that the woman would be waiting(for them to say so) too. i would say i like you from myself and if it didn’t go well, i would go find another love.

Q:if it didnt go well would you give up just like that?

VI:yes i would! Isnt this a BAD BOY?!

Q:is BIGBANG’s BAD BOY, VI?

TOP:he’s honest to his own feelings so i think hes a good boy.
VI: Doesn’t like her but doesn’t dislike her…Isn’t this kind of ambiguity a BAD BOY?!
TOP:the other 4 members cant express themselves and just think about it. I guess VI (who can act on his feelings) is a good boy.

[BLUE]
VI:theres a great part”From winter to spring” in this song.it expresses our exact feelings right now!
Dae: this song’s appeal is the image of sad but beautiful. all our loneliness and sadness is in it.

[LOVE DUST]
Bae:its just as the title says.you sometimes remember old feelings and memories of love, but as time goes on it disappears like dust. the feeling of love so light that you almost cant feel it, is made into a song, light and full of wit.

[FEELING]
VI:GDRAGON and a famous and popular artist DJ.BOYS NOIZE colaborated! this song is unbelievable!i think it will be great in clubs!! the rap is cool and SOL and D-LITE sang the chorus with an amazing lot of power.

[AINT NO FUN]
SOL:When a lover talks about love, you want them to say it more passionately, when theyre angry at you, you want them to be more colder. But as you repeat these everyday, it gradually dwindles.That kind of love isnt fun or interesting. maybe it would be more interesting if you be more angry when youre angry?…its a song like that.

[BAD BOY]
SOL: To me, its the most inportant song in this album.GDRAGON and TOP’s rap and the vocals of the three, is in sync the most to become a really good song.

TOP:the lyrics are exactly how we feel now.its like we made what we wanted to say to the fans, into lyrics.But that doesnt mean we are a bad boy(laughs)
it had a good feedback from Korean fans so im excited how Japanese fans will react.

[EGO]
Dae:the main character (in the song)fell in love at first sight and is appealing to the woman but she wont take notice. the feeling of your pride being hurt, its a song that represents the feeling first love.

[NEWS] Big Bang collaborates with ‘Gmarket’ for limited edition cellphone cases + charity project

Big Bang has teamed up with their endorsement brand, ‘Gmarket‘, to collaborate on the release of a new set of cellphone cases!

Starting March 26th, Gmarket will be exclusively selling limited editions of Big Bang phone cases featuring various pictures of the members. The limited edition set is for the iPhone 4, 4S, Galaxy S2, and cost 25,900 KRW (~23USD). They are also selling, Big Bang limited edition T-shirts for 19,800 KRW (~17USD). Fans can select which individual member picture they would specifically like to purchase for both items. International fans are also in luck as Gmarket offers overseas shipping for these items.

Lastly, a charity project is underway titled the ‘Big Bang Style Donation Project‘, where clothing items worn by the members during their endorsement shoot will be auctioned off to raise funds for children battling incurable diseases.

Gmarket officials stated, “We’re looking forward to fans taking an interest in our brand through this limited collaboration with Big Bang. There are a lot of upcoming limited edition projects coming up aside from this cellphone case.”
