Fans of K-pop have good reason to bring the house down this September at the 2011 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL Singapore Grand Prix. For the first time ever, Singapore GP has added the dynamic trio of Korean pop stars GD&TOP AND SEUNGRI to a line-up of world-class acts at the only Formula One night race.
Better known as G-Dragon, T.O.P. and Seungri of the massively popular band BIGBANG, this powerhouse trio will drive fans wild with their polished dance moves and infectious tracks at the Padang main stage (Zone 4) on Friday, 23 September.
I’m extremely jealous of all of you SG VIPs going!!! but happy as well ;) GD&TOP and Seungri will surely bring the house down and I can’t believe they’ve been added to such a powerful line-up, it just goes to show how famous the boys really are. Get ready for Sept. 23rd! =)

On August 19th, SeungRi was watching the “Street Life” musical at CGV Pop Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo. He kept himself seated and watched the entire performance, and in the end, before anyone else, he rose and applauded greatly and cheered a lot.
That day, SeungRi had a tour through the musical theater because of Jeong WonYoung (a band) and some of his friends. In 2008, in the musical “Sonagi” where SeungRi starred, SeungRi obtained a Hyung-Dongsaeng relationship with Jeong WonYoung and other friends.
After watching the performance, he personally found the waiting room and told them, “What a really great show”, “It’s a very good musical”.
The news that SeungRi was watching a musical rose the fans’ expectations such as, “If SeungRi were in a musical once again, I’ll definitely watch it”, “I just want to see SeungRi on the stage of a musical again”.
Not surprised to hear this, as usual maknae was being a great friend and enthusiastic! :)) I’m with the fans, another musical for Seungri plea!! he sings so well *^^* btw I don’t think both photos are from the same date, apparently one is older than the other one.

YG Entertainment stunned the industry when it was revealed that they’ve surpassed SM Entertainment in terms of sales for the first half of 2011! YG Entertainment is home to artists like 2NE1, Big Bang, and Psy, while SM Entertainment hosts artists likes SNSD, Super Junior, and TVXQ.
YG Entertainment has made 44,744,823,563 won (approximately $41,756,037 USD) from January 1st to June 30th. Meanwhile, SM Entertainment has made 40,592,465,358 won, which is approximately $37,867,691 USD, for that same period. It’s speculated that the profit leap for YG Entertainment came from GD&TOP‘s album, Seungri‘s solo activities, Big Bang‘s new album, and 2NE1‘s latest mini-album and concerts.
YG Entertainment maintained their sales numbers from last year; however, SM Entertainment made 6.9 million won less, since they recorded 47,527,869,269 won in the first half of 2010. YG Entertainment’s net profit is said to be around $6,718,774 USD, while SM Entertainment’s net profit is reported to be around $3,659,605 USD.
Woot congrats to YG and all of their artists because everyone contributed! YG is usually second in sales from the big 3 so this is great news. :D GD’s album will surely help these numbers grow! I think YG Papa must be happy with his artists because this has definitely been a YG year!^^

According to a reliable source from the music industry, G-Dragon, a leader and producer of Big Bang, has recently concentrated all his energy on creating his new solo album.
Someone in the know says, “His shaved head shows his determination to put all his strength in his new album.”
In fact, GD shows up every day in his own office in the building of YG Entertainment, fully absorbed in producing his new album.
The album is scheduled to be released around October and November, but the precise date is not yet fixed. Considering that he himself writes songs and lyrics, the date can be delayed.
YG Entertainment has kept their mouth closed about the details of GD’s new album, but president Yang Hyun Suk of YG Entertainment is said to make an official announcement regarding the album before long via YG Life, known as the official website of YG Entertainment.
I’m so happy to hear he is working hard every day with such determination. I remember he mentioned he shaved his hair to clear his mind so I hope he is doing well with the album and taking care of his health. We’ll wait as long as it takes! :)
